This month’s glam bag reminds me of my pencil case in grade school *winks, smiles and giggles* the theme is Beauty Schooled for back to school season.
In the pencil case are:
Nicka K Absolute Lip Balm in Grape
Smell reminds me of my childhood and grade school (again!). I remember playing with fruit erasers and it smelled exactly like the grape that I used to have. Those are the type of erasers I won’t use mainly because they are too pretty to use. This lip balm however is nice, nothing special. Smooth and I love the packaging! The tin really appeals to me a lot! Retails for $5.99 on the Nicka K. website for a duo, so one tin is about $3.00.
Dr. Brandt No Pores Pore Refiner Primer
My daily face primer is the Clinique Pore Refining Solutions Stay Matte Hydrator and when I want extra long wear coverage on special events or when I know I’ll be out for more than 8 hours, I use the Benefit Porefessional. Now this Dr. Brandt No Pores Pore Refining Primer, though new, I have some high expectations. This product definitely delivered. Love how it feels on my skin and I love how it gives me just enough matte look and a silky finish. Retails for $45.00 for 1fl oz, I think for this sample size, it is around $11.25.
Urban Decay Perversion Mascara
This is something I will definitely purchase in the future. Doesn’t clump my lashes, doesn’t smudge, doesn’t move. This mascara is definitely perfect to complete a dramatic eye look. Retails for $26.00 for a limited time offer with the Subversion Primer at Sephora. For this sample size, around $10.00 maybe. This small tube will definitely be put to good use.
Coastal Scents Forever Blush Sample Duo
Not something I would want to get in my glam bag since these samples are the normal add ons you can get from coastal scents when you buy stuff from them, at least in my opinion. The pigmentation is great though. I just expected something not as “samply” as this in my glam bag. The blushes are on sale for on the Coastal Scents website $3.98, maybe this duo is around $2.00 give or take.
Lord & Berry Silk Kajal Kohl Eye Pencil
Love how this product is so creamy and easy to apply. First time I heard of Lord & Berry brand to be honest and it definitely wouldn’t hurt to have another black eyeliner in my collection. Just wish it is a bigger pencil, though this one, I can’t complain that it will be best to travel with. Retails for $18.00 for a full size so this is about $8.00.
So for around $34 worth of goodies, this bag is definitely a good batch, just not a fan of the samply Coastal Scents blush/bronzer and the tiny Lord & Berry eye liner. In my opinion, Ipsy can do better with the sample sizes but all in all I am very happy!
