BEX Professional Silicon Wet-Dry Flat Iron
First time I have ever tried anything from the BEX hair care line and I am quite impressed. The iron itself looks really nice, it has a good weight and the design is pretty. It heats up fairly quickly and it glides on smoothly. What I do is I wash my hair and either air dry or blow dry it until it’s damp and I start ironing my hair. The instruction says it won’t work if I use it on overly wet hair (which even if the instruction doesn’t say that I think that it is pretty much self explanatory to not flat iron your soaking wet hair). Anyway, so yeah, I use heat protectant before ironing my hair and it glides on smoothly and it gives it that fine shine. What I love about this iron is though it has a good weight to it, it does not strain my hands since the balance of the weight is evenly distributed and you don’t have to iron your hair for a long time and go back and forth on one section since it gives your hair a beautiful and sleek style with only a glide or two, so you are not frying your hair too.
The only Wet-Dry flat iron I have so far other than this BEX one is the AVANTI wet to dry and I can say that they both work great. The Avanti though has a digital setting to adjust the heat and the BEX has a dial but like I said, they are both great and not drying.
On the flatironexperts website it says:
Bex Professional Silicone Wet to Dry Flat Iron / Hair Straightener (1-1/4″):
Bex Professional Silicon Wet-Dry Flat Iron / Hair Straightener is the quick and simple tool to style even on the most demanding hair textures. The new innovative silicon wet to dry technology provides perfect grip and tension to effortlessly straighten hair. When straightening damp hair, all excess moisture is captured by the silicone strip, which will then be transferred through the vents, and resulting in the long-lasting straight style. Heating up to a maximum heat of 450F, the iron eliminates frizz and softens hair to the touch. This is the iron of choice for Japanese and Keratin Straightenings.
Ceramic Technology: The smooth tourmaline ceramic plates distribute heat across the entire surface evenly, retain heat more efficiently, and eliminate damaging hot spots. Ceramic plates radiates far-infrared heat to preserve more moisture within the hair shaft and causes less damage to the hair cuticle. It also emits negative ions, which eliminate static electricity and deliver shinier and sleeker results.
The BEX flatiron is on SALE for $159.95, originally it is $245.99 saving you $86.04 which is amazinggggg! Click here to go to flatironexperts website.
I also find it working great paired with the KQC Thermal Shine Spray. I cannot be more pleased about this thermal spray. I have used a ton of thermal / heat protectant but this KQC is hands down the best that I’ve tried so far! Not only will it protect your hair from heat damage, it will also give it that shine that you can see on a hair TVC!
KQC Thermal Shine Spray is on sale for $15.99, originally sells for $18.99 saving you $3.00. This is something that needs to be in your hair care supply at all times plus some back ups! Click here to purchase!

Notice how dry and dull my hair looks like. Damp hair, slightly blow dried
Hair is tamer, softer and smoother after using the BEX Professional Silicon Wet-Dry Flat Iron
What I normally do when I use this BEX Silicon Wet-Dry Iron:
– Finger comb my hair.
– Apply heat protectant all over my hair, of course not neglecting the inside part especially the ends.
– Blow dry my hair until damp. DO NOT use iron when hair is too wet. Always blow or air dry. You can also do the cool setting on your blow dryer, it works as good too.
– This is optional, sometimes I do this, sometimes I don’t: Spray another coat of the KQC Thermal Spray all over to give it that extra protection and shine.
– Run the iron once or twice and you can immediately see that it tames off the frizz and it leaves the hair shiny, silky and smooth as I brush / comb through. I would generally use a roller brush.
– Brush / comb through my hair and apply my favourite hair serum on the ends of my strands. Any serum will do, here I used my Moroccan Oil Serum.
Notice that my hair is a lot smoother and more presentable lol! I don’t prefer straight hair over curly or vice versa but mine is not straight and not curly either, I’m in between so really – having a great flat iron helps me a LOT! I find that this BEX Wet-Dry Flat Iron is a great investment if you’re into styling your hair quickly since you do not have to wait until your hair gets completely dry. You can actually start ironing while it’s still damp and you don’t need to worry that it will fry your hair. (Excuse the unevenness of my hair, I just had a hair cut few days ago, I wanted a bob but the hairdresser won’t cut my hair that short. She only took off about 6 to 7 inches and won’t go any shorter. Blah!)
Closer look to show the shine and luster the KQC Thermal Spray adds to the beauty of the ironed hair. I also used the Moroccanoil Treatment Serum on the ends of my hair to seal it and give it some extra shine – it also smells great!
Have a lovely hair day everyone! <3
**Flatironexperts.com and Moroccanoil did not pay me to do this review. Both Bex flat iron and KQC thermal spray were sent to me by flatironexperts for review pusposes only. Morrocanoil has been a long time favourite serum of mine and has been personally purchased with my own money.**
