So it is a pink glam bag this month and I am excited! It actually came in pretty early (at least for me) since the last one I got was almost end of the month but anyway, here goes:
Plump Pout Mini in Fuchsia Fressia by Pop Beauty
Retails for $16.00
I find this colour not so flattering on me since it is too bright and too orangey, a little on the coral side. So I tried and gave it a chance and I guess I just have to get used to bright lips since I am more of a nude lips type of girl and then after a while it is kinda growing on me. The one down side is the smell – terrible! I guess if you are not too iffy with the smell then that is fine but it bothers me, a lot actually. I will most definitely not be purchasing this lip gloss, I mean it’s not too bad to have, but I won’t miss it either.
Zoya Nail Polish in Dot
Retails for $9.00
I am not getting the “me” colours in this glam bag in particular. First, the Lip Gloss that is also available in Peony Petal that I probably would like better than the Fuchsia Freesia since the Peony is more on the mauvey – neutral side. The shade that I got for this Zoya nail polish is in Dot and I probably will like the Odette since it looks neutral and again, on the mauvey side. I cannot complain though, the Dot is more of a bridal kind of nail polish or an interview kind of go to nail colour and of course, Zoyas are great!
Eyetini Cordial Cream Shadow + Base In One in EC007 Violette by Tini Beauty
Retails for $18.00
This at first I thought is a lip gloss. The colour is surprisingly gorgeous and yes, it doesn’t crease! The application is very smooth, I cannot say that it is highly pigmented but I really like it. I used it a base and applied Night Sky over it from the Stila In The Light palette and it looked gorgeous! This is something I never thought I would like since by looking at it I thought it would definitely crease on me but the creaseless staying power lasted me for more than 10 hours and to me that is amazing!
Eye Lashes + Eye Glue in EL13 by J.Cat Beauty
Retails for $3.99
The lashes in my glam bag is very wearable. I cannot say anything too great about it, to me, it is an okay fake lash set. The glue is fine, of course my favourite is still the Duo lash glue but this one included in the package is not bad. One thing too, if I am to do lash extensions, this type, not to curled, not too thick will most probably be my option.
Fresh Start Mask with Ice Age Mud by Skyn Iceland
Retails for $39.00
My initial reaction was, ugh! I wanted a make up more than a skin product but I was like, yeah whatevsss worth a try since I don’t usually buy skin care products as well as I don’t venture into trying a ton of it so, I went for it! The tingling effect is a surprise and my skin felt really soft after wiping with a warm face cloth – I felt refreshed! I probably won’t repurchase not because I didn’t like it but because I am not a big skin care junkee – I have been okay with my Clarisonic / Clinique Combo but don’t get me wrong, I am willing to try new stuff to improve the status of my skin. Also, I did not use the whole package so I prefer maybe having these kinds of samples in a resealable containers.
So my February Ipsy Glam Bag’s worth altogether is about $86.00
