So, fairly recently, I am into this moisturizer trial mode and one of the products I tried is the Korres Black Pine Firming, Lifting and Anti Wrinkle Night Cream (I know, it’s a mouthful!). The packaging is so luxurious and fancy. A big and sturdy cardboard that has a textured, specialty paper finish. On the Korres website, it says that this cream is: A rich firming, contouring, and lifting night cream powered by a proprietary blend of active and patented ingredients for advanced results.
Key Features and Benefits:
This luxurious cream works overnight, the optimal time for skin to receive intense treatment, delivering a continuous dose of Black Pine actives while you sleep for advanced firming, contouring, and lifting action. The innovative Hexapeptide-11, the first natural polypeptide, combined with Black Pine polyphenols strengthens the connective tissue retaining skin firmness and resilience.
So I have never heard or tried any product that contains any black pine ingredient, at least not that I’m aware of. It has a scent, a little too strong and really noticeable so you definitely only want to use this cream at night (only). The scent goes away after, I would say maybe after an hour or so. I am really bad at describing scents but the only close comparison that I can think of is floral and trees mixed together, I know, the way I described it is really bad but the smell is really strong and my husband can’t stand it sometimes. I’m just really not good with describing scents. I don’t find the cream greasy at all. My skin absorbs it quickly and it gives it just enough moisture.
Below are the Clinical Results on the Korres website:
After an 8 week self-evaluation:
100% confirmed they would replace their existing firming cream with KORRES Black Pine.
100% saw visibly firmer, smoother skin.
100% saw improved skin elasticity.
90% saw visibly lifted skin.
As for me, I’m almost done with the whole jar and I must say, this cream actually works! First, I didn’t breakout, not that I am sensitive or anything but that’s a good thing. Second, my face is moisturized and even my under eye area doesn’t seem dry anymore and it used to be really bad. Third, around my second week of use, I can already tell that my skin feels lifted and definitely firmer and that is just the second week!
The formulation is definitely great but because of its strong scent, I definitely would not repurchase and it’s too bad that because it smells strong, I won’t even bother thinking about the positives that it brings to my skin. BUT, if scent does not bother you too much, you might want to give this cream a try. I, maybe am just not into strong moisturizer scents. I will definitely switch it up when I am completely done with the whole jar. You can purchase KORRES – Black Pine Firming, Lifting and Anti Wrinkle Night Cream at Sephora for CAD$82.00.
