This Sigma Premium Kit has 15 brushes for the face, eyes and lips. It actually is a great addition and a staple to your everyday make up needs. It comes in a box like this:
and a really nice make up case that looks like a bible / sturdy cd case like this:
The packaging is definitely great considering the amount of brushes it holds. It keeps the brushes in place and guarded when you travel and I think that because Sigma Brushes in general are not cheap and very well made, you would actually want to take care of it and this case is just a great addition to this collection. It definitely makes it a lot easier to carry the brushes around without damaging them.
THE 7 FACE BRUSHES
Blended blush application and powder application can be achieved using this brush. High quality brush that doesn’t poke or shed. Just love swirling the brush around my face. The way it feels and the way it blends. This brush is definitely something that I would reach for on a day to day basis.
Online it says this brush works with mineral products for a delicate effect but I will normally use this to blend my harsh blush lines whenever I would pick up quite a bit of a product that is too pigmented.
Recommended to use with a bronzer for an even and controlled application. I normally use this to set my foundation and as an all over powder when my face needs some refreshing. It feels really soft on my face. Sometimes I find myself using this brush not because I need powder my face but because it feels great sweeping it around my forehead and my cheeks, even my neck!
This is the “go to” brush when it comes to an exact placement of product on a certain part of the face as recommended on the website. I normally use this to apply my highlighter or set my under eye concealer with a translucent powder.
I use this to contour my cheeks and give it an even blend. Love this brush when I use that contour colour on my temples as well as my jaw line. It is however recommended for high points of your cheeks to give it a good highlight. Whichever way, this brush is so versatile that it works great!
This I haven’t really used on myself as it says online that it is recommended for large areas of the face / body and works well with liquid or cream products. I, however, have used this on my friend and it worked perfectly on her face. She has little baby facial hairs and this did a good job making those hair lay down flat and stay still and not disturb the foundation.
Great brush to use with concealers to cover up imperfections as well as precise lining of the lips for a bolder look.
7 EYE BRUSHES and 1 LIP BRUSH
This is the skinniest eye liner that I have in my collection so far and I love how precise the application is! Works great with gel liners.
On the website it says that this flat definer brush works well with gel, liquid or powder and yes, it does! Love using this to give my eyes a great finish when I want a precise / cleaner look. I even use this with a concealer to clean out the edges of my eyes when I want a sharp look.
I use this to smudge my lash line and give it a more gentle and faded look.
As it says on the Sigma website, this is used for a more controlled blending. It does a great job too when I use this to the outer corners of my eyes as it gives me a well blended smokey eye look.
On the website it says that this brush is used for a more controlled blending and it definitely does that. I love this brush especially on my crease area since I have a tiny wanna be crease since it blends the colour out perfectly and it gives me a precise location on where I want my shadow to be without looking harsh.
This is the brush that I use whenever I want an intense colour on my crease and the size is perfect for me!
It is recommended to apply highlighter with but not only do I use this for my brow bone highlight but as a blending brush too. I don’t know but this brush is really a great blending brush for me. This not only quickly blends my eye shadows, it also gives it a really soft and evenly diffused finish.
Firm lip brush for precise lip colour application. What I like about this brush is that it has a cover where you can use after application in case you still have a bit of a product left on the brush and you cannot clean it right away, your make up bad won’t be messy. Also, the cover can also double up as an extension so you’ll have a longer handle if you are doing your client’s make up.
Again, like the Kabuki and the Precision Set I got from Sigma, this is a great set. From your face, to your eyes, down to your lips, you have all the essentials here. I have washed every brush and not one of them shed a single hair which is really impressive. The quality of the brushes are definitely great and the feel of the bristles are all so soft and won’t poke. The brushes make my make up application a lot easier and enjoyable. I can also pull off some matte looks that I cannot do before because the brushes I used to use are not as good when it comes to blending leaving me with patchy, uneven lids. The blending brushes that are on this set however makes a world of difference, it definitely is a life changer when you have this set – really!
You can purchase this set on the main Sigma website or if you are in Canada and would want to shop using a Sigma retailer in locally, you can check out Devu Cosmetics.com where I got mine. Also, you can buy the brushes individually and prices will range anywhere from CAD$15.00 to CAD$30.00. Feel free to check out my review on the Sigmax 10pc Kabuki Set as well.
Do you have a Sigma Beauty favourite product? Please let me know so I can try them out too!
I am in no way sponsored by any of the said company and the brush set was purchased with my own money. The opinion and review I have written are honest and 100% mine.
