The smell of fall, the leaves on the ground… Oh it’s here, fall is here! New season calls for a little bit of a shift on a certain look. I am nowadays wearing some fall inspired eye looks using the Lorac Skinny Palette in nude. First time trying the Etude House BB Cream and it is amazing. The look that the BB Cream gives is just absolutely smooth and fresh, not to mention, I am in love with the scent! Most products used are from drugstore (or from a drugstore price point). This is my first time doing this type of post so hopefully I’ll improve once I do more similar posts.
After moisturizing, apply primer and here I am using the ELF Poreless Face Primer.
Tape on both sides of my eyes to give the shadow colours a sharp line for some lifting effect. It is optional but I like how it looks on my hooded, droopy eyes. [Numbering the Lorac shades from 1-7 left to right] Mix colours 3 and 4 (from the left) as transition / blending shades and apply to crease and blend (top right photo on collage below). Then use colour 1 as brow bone and inner tear duct colour (middle right picture on collage below). Use colour 2 on lids (bottom right photo on collage below). Layer colour 5 on outer v and blend out towards crease to add a little warmth (bottom middle photo on below collage). Deepen the outer v using colours 6 and 7 (bottom left photo on below collage) and blend everything out. Feel free to touch up any parts that may need retouching and blend again.
Line your eyes with a dark brown or black eye liner, whichever you prefer. I used Maybelline Eye Studio Eye Gel and an angled brush. I did a very tiny flick but feel free to wing it out if you wish to.
Then apply foundation. Like I said, I used the Precious Mineral BB Cream Bright Fit from Etude House. Something about this BB Cream that gets me excited and did I mention that the smell is heavenly? It gives a light coverage which is perfect for everyday and it gives your skin a glowing finish.
Since I will be wearing this face to work, I am setting it with a translucent powder and I am using the ELF Studio High Definition Powder. Apply your favourite pink / peachy blush. Here I am using another Etude House blush that was sent to me by my friend. It is a peachy matte blush called Lovely Cookie Blusher and yes, very beautiful!
The before shot is a little blurry – camera calibration fail! Anyway, apply your lipstick. Here I used Revlon in Red Revival topped with Nyx Butter Gloss in Creme Brulee. You can use deeper shades on your lips too since it is fall. You can achieve the same eye look with some drug store brands. One that I recommend is the Maybelline Nudes Palette and depending on where you go, it ranges from about $10-$12. Also, on some days when I feel like it, I would use some heavy contouring and highlighting but I am sticking with the basics on this one.
There you have it and thanks for stopping by. Hope you had fun reading through this post and let me know if you have your own fall inspired look!
